Account Managers

  • Have experience designing solutions that address IT and business challenges
  • Possess relevant technical certifications from technology manufacturers

Post-Sale Implementation Engineers

  • Self-motivated; able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Willing to work off-hours and travel locally extensively, remotely some of the time
  • Have deep knowledge of the IT solution technology and cloud marketplace
  • Have experience implementing and operating Information Technology and/or Cloud solutions
  • Possess relevant technical certifications from technology manufacturers
  • Work well with teams of professionals
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills

After spending 17 years at EMC I was looking for the next opportunity where I could leverage all the knowledge and relationships I had built through the years and IPDS was the perfect fit. I chose to work for IPDS not only because I already knew a lot of the players there but also because of the deep engineering staff. I did not want to work for just any VAR, I wanted to work with a VAR that could bring true value to my potential customers and the engineering talent that IPDS had built was exactly that differentiator. Fast forward seven years, not only did we expand the engineering staff tremendously, but also added several key technology partners, as well as an Advanced Services Division, so I now have access to a portfolio that can help me address all of our client’s needs, from the data center to end user computing including all the necessary professional services know-how to deploy those solutions on-prem or in the public cloud all in a secure fashion.

I came to IPDS in 2017 after a decade in my previous position. I had come up through the ranks as a generalist, never really taking the time to specialize in anything as I grew. I was more of a Jack of all trades kind of IT worker. After coming to IPDS I experienced two major changes. One, I began to acquire expert level skills in certain technologies, and two, I began to develop relationships with my clients as a trusted advisor that I hadn’t experienced before in my career. The mentorship from my colleagues who’ve been more than generous in sharing their knowledge, and the family atmosphere are what I love about working for IPDS. I had the opportunity to go elsewhere and take another step forward in my career but after some professional and personal issues, I was in one of those spots where the right thing to do was to go home. IPDS has become my second home. The support, friendship, and mentorship combined with my relationships with my clients are why I choose to work here. 

I spent half of my IT career at a company with over 40,000 employees. Although there are endless opportunities for advancement, lots of perks, structure and stability with a larger company, a smaller company such as IPDS provides a community atmosphere where you know all of your co-workers and get a chance to develop relationships. IPDS has provided me a chance to work closely with company leaders, which has helped me become a better employee, understand how business works and what contribution I can make to impact the company’s success. 

I worked for a global IT company prior to IPDS and it was a night and day difference between the two. My old boss lived in India, it was impossible to have direction in my role, feel supported, or even see a path for growth down the road. I was only trained on what the company did, never my own role. I was a tiny fish in a ginormous pond – felt like just another number in their employee count. When I came to IPDS, I couldn’t have been happier. I’ve had the most supportive boss over the years, and my coworkers have become like family to me. I feel valued every day for the work I do, and I couldn’t have a better team to lean on when I need any kind of assistance.
