IPDS Gives

IPDS cares. We believe in helping with what we can, when we can. We are proud that our employees, our company, and our partners contribute to so many charitable organizations that are focused on a variety of goals from curing cancers and spreading autism awareness, to saving animals and improving access to education.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a 501 charitable organization founded in 1949, is the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to fighting blood cancer in the world. The LLS’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s lymphoma and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Why is LLS important to us? An invaluable member of the IPDS team and longtime member of the IPDS family, Anthony Filardo was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in February of 2020. After multiple rounds of chemo and a stem cell transplant from his sister, he reached 2 years cancer free post-transplant.

On May 18th, 2022, we lost him in a fatal car accident. He is sorely missed every single day.

We are supporting his sister Alex in her effort to raise money in honor of his strength and will to survive AML via her gofundme here.

THON, Penn State University

THON™ is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, and is fully committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer. The mission is to provide emotional and financial support, spread awareness, and ensure funding for critical research—all in pursuit of a cure. The yearlong fundraising efforts culminate in a 46-hour dance marathon. Since Joe Cutroneo (Owner & CEO) and Michelle Gifford (Director of Marketing) are both Penn Staters (and Michelle danced in THON during her time at PSU), this cause is near and dear to our hearts.
